Masses of Suffrage for Pope Francis
In many parishes of our diocese, a mass of Thanksgiving for Pope Francis’s ministry will be celebrated this Friday, April 25th, at 7:00 p.m. We invite you to contact your local parish to confirm.
The next day, April 26, the Holy Father’s funeral will be held in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. This will mark the first of nine days of official mourning called the novemdiales during which daily Mass is celebrated in St. Peter’s for the repose of the Holy Father’s soul. In solidarity with the Church of Rome, Archbishop Durocher will celebrate daily Mass in various parishes of the diocese with the same intention. Here is the schedule of these Masses, in which all the faithful who so desire are invited to participate.
