Missionary Month 2025

The Missionary Month of October is an opportunity for the Church to highlight the importance of missionary commitment on the part of all the baptized, as well as the various evangelization initiatives associated with it.

World Mission Sunday (WMS) – established by Pope Pius XI in 1926 and entrusted to the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith – is the high point of the Month. Celebrated every second-to-last Sunday of October, it is a special day of prayer and fundraising to support the many initiatives promoted by the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of the Faith around the world.

Mission Foi provides a variety of resources available on its website, missionfoi.ca, to inspire and enrich the life of Catholic communities across Canada throughout Missionary Month.
