It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Father Marcel Lahaie, on June 24, 2025 at the age of 77.
A retired priest, Father Lahaie served with faith and dedication as a parish priest. He was also chaplain to the police and firefighters of the City of Gatineau, as well as to the Knights of Colomb. His pastoral commitment and humanity left a deep impression on all those who had the grace to cross his path.
We offer our prayers and sincere condolences to his family, his confreres, and to all the faithful.
There will be a final farewell to Marcel on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Sainte-Trinité Church, 665 Duberger Street, Gatineau. The religious ceremony in the presence of the body will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location.
May the Lord, in his mercy, grant him eternal rest and welcome him into the peace of his Kingdom.
