The Sacrament Of Marriage

It is possible to follow an online wedding preparation course with Novalis.  You will find the information here.

The sacrament of marriage is both a beautiful and a great project in which one commits to contribute to the realization of oneself and of the other, inspired by the values proposed by Christ.

Getting married in the church is to make the link between the creation of a couple or a family and the creation of God. This is a work of love. He created us out of love and for love. He made us in his image, capable of creative acts, of loving, and of giving life. His love is a love based on trust and freedom. He gives man to woman, and vice versa. He proposes to live with Him and between us a covenant for ever: "I will be your God, and you will be my people". To get married in the church is to take as witnesses and to associate to the celebration of one's love one's parents, one's friends and the members of the community.   It is choosing to live the values proposed by Jesus Christ on a daily basis. Above all, it means becoming a sacrament, that is to say: a privileged sign of God's love for others. To become a sacrament is to commit oneself in complete freedom to live a faithful, fruitful and lasting love.

To marry as Christians is to build a couple with Christ, to desire to love as He loved us, even to the point of giving his life for love. For this, we must be able to count on his strength, his grace, and not only on our own strength!
