Young Adult Ministry

« A place of meeting, and of Christian reflection and training, the campus ministry opens to young people the doors of a Church up-to-then unknown or unrecognized, and opens the Church to the student youth, to their questions, and their apostolic dynamism. » (The Presence of the Church in Universities and in University Culture, III,8)

Young Adult Ministry

In September 2016 , a new Young Adult Ministry was started in the Archdiocese of Gatineau, supported by the Archdiocese, the Brothers of the Sacred-Heart, the parish of St-Joseph, and the parishioners of the Notre-Dame-de-Lorette parish.

Three Brothers of the Sacred-Heart moved into the rectory of Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, in the former Lucerne district.  One of them is working there full-time, doing pastoral work with the young adults.

The Notre-Dame-de-Lorette Christian community has accepted to open its doors so that its church can become a meeting-place where young adults can find an oasis of fellowships, faith formation, prayer and celebration.

The purpose of the Maison Hôte is to offer a space where young adults can find serenity, fellowship, prayer, or spiritual direction, where they can participate in artistic pursuits, find a listening ear, and help meeting food needs.
